Lazy sundays

I’ve had a lovely weekend back in Glasgow following my second week of rural placement - it’s nice to be back in the big city with all my friends :) but probably should head back soon.

Got my first case report in - misdiagnosed RA which was actually psoriatic arthritis so that was interesting - I love rheumatology :D

No TV is a bit weird - but nice being down with people who didnt intercal, because it forces me to get to know people.

Going out with the FY1 docs on Wednesday, went a few weeks ago and it was actually the best night! It was soooo cheesy music, like late 80s/90s and the club was really rundown and funny but I had the best time, just dancing like fools!

Not posted in a while but felt this was worth an update..

Got to use the answer ‘Pigeon fancier’s lung’ in a real life situation today. Medicine is a LOL, consultant definitely not impressed when I got the giggles.

On a rural placement at the moment, having a great time, internet a bit sketchy but there you go….

Graduating tomorrow. Nervous :/… and also rather indifferent because I have to go back to uni for 2 years

I don’t know if it’s sad that I love this or not, but my friend sent me this stuffed lymphocyte… So cute!

The people they let into medical school now. Dog as mother teresa has me in stitches. And I have a presentation to do tomorrow…

As usual, exams over, rain starts!!!

Exam tomorrow and no fear whatsoever.

This is potentially the least I’ve known for an exam ever, and me, the captain of stress is so chilled out. Why!? I should be cramming….

But I’d rather just eat easter eggs.

My first flow cytometry….it’s mediastinal lymph nodes from HLA-B27+ transgenic rats and wild type rats. I’m looking for activated, naive and memory T cells.
REAL science. Scary stuff.
Still think its pretty cool that I made this. But I’m a geek.

That satisfying feeling you get when you PubMed search your experiments, and no-one has ever done them….

or the feeling of doom
